Whether I'm at a hard rock concert in the heart of the city or a bonfire on a gravel road in the middle of nowhere, I am always searching for design inspiration. Graphic design is my passion; I love what I do. I strive to create unique, professional designs influenced by client desires, personal experiences, and extensive research.
During my time as a student at Clarke University in Dubuque, Iowa, I learned to utilize graphic design to integrate my lifelong interests of art, reading, and writing. Most nights were spent in either a graphic design lab or a drawing studio, often until 4:00 in the morning! This same work ethic, along with my positive attitude and creative ingenuity, will be applied to the top-quality designs I produce for you. I specialize in developing stunning wedding stationery and custom invitations for various occasions, as well as a variety of print materials, including logos, business cards, resumes, and advertisements. If you imagine it, I will create it!
In the spring of 2015, I graduated from Clarke with my Bachelor of Fine Arts / Emphasis in Graphic Design / Minor in Writing. That same year, I married my husband, Tim, in August; we moved into our forever home on our wedding night, and I accepted a new job that week! I have worked as a textbook cover designer at Kendall Hunt Publishing Company in Dubuque since September 2015, and my free time is dedicated to my freelance work.
Although I work in Dubuque, my roots are in Monticello, Iowa, where I grew up on a pig farm. The acreage where Tim and I now live is located exactly two miles from my parents' farm and two miles in the opposite direction from his grandparents' farm. (Because of this, we actually met on the school bus when we were kids!) Some of my hobbies include spending time with family and friends, running, swimming, biking, gardening, traveling, fishing, and attending county fairs. I am also an active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, teaching third grade religious education and having served as vice president of the Parish Guild. Oh! I almost forgot to mention that if I have the pleasure of meeting you in person for a design consultation, I may treat you to one of the best homemade cookies you have ever tasted. I can't wait to meet with you, whether it's in person or online, and get to work!
